What are the rental regulations in Palms?

Ah, the fun part – regulations. Palms follows LA’s standard rental laws. But here’s the lowdown: Most leases are for 12 months, but don’t panic – month-to-month options exist for the commitment-phobes among us. Short-term rentals are allowed, but you’ll need to register with the city and stick to the 120-day annual limit unless you’re a magical unicorn who gets approved for extended home-sharing. Rent control applies to buildings built before October 1, 1978. This means your landlord can only increase rent by a certain percentage each year.

How close is Palms to major attractions?

Close enough to be convenient, far enough to avoid the tourist traps. Santa Monica Beach: 15 minutes by car, 20 by Metro LAX: 20 minutes on a good day, 30 on a not-so-good day Downtown LA: 30 minutes, give or take a celebrity sighting on the freeway Universal Studios: 25 minutes (because sometimes you need to embrace your inner tourist) Plus, with the Metro Expo Line running through Palms, you’re connected to the entire city faster than you can say LA traffic. For those who prefer a more suburban feel with easy access to the city, Cheviot Hills rentals offer a perfect balance.
